Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of such type of lexis as occasionalisms and the ways of its translation into English. The main difficulties of interpretation of occasionalisms and possible ways of its translation into English are described. The examples of Russian occasionalisms, taken from the works of V. V. Mayakovsky, and interpreter’s solutions are represented.
