Globalization has become one of the most influential factors affecting linguistic development in the modern world. As international communication, technological innovation, economic integration, and cultural exchange continue to expand, languages increasingly undergo lexical changes that reflect new social realities and global interactions. The Uzbek language is no exception to this process. This study examines the influence of globalization on Uzbek lexical development, focusing on the adoption, adaptation, and integration of foreign lexical units into contemporary Uzbek. Particular attention is given to the impact of English as a global language, the emergence of technological and digital vocabulary, the formation of neologisms, and the transformation of traditional lexical systems. The research analyzes lexical changes observed in mass media, social networks, educational discourse, business communication, and everyday language use. Employing descriptive, comparative, and sociolinguistic approaches, the study investigates how globalization contributes to vocabulary enrichment while simultaneously raising questions concerning linguistic identity and language preservation. The findings demonstrate that globalization has significantly accelerated lexical innovation in Uzbek, leading to the expansion of vocabulary and the emergence of new semantic and communicative patterns. At the same time, the study highlights the importance of maintaining a balance between openness to global influences and the preservation of national linguistic heritage.
