Purpose: The purpose of this article is to study the methods of working in the landscape genre, to highlight the importance of color, light and composition in depicting natural landscapes. The issues of developing artistic observation and creative skills in students are also considered.
Method: In the research process, methods of analyzing scientific literature, studying the creative experiences of artists, and observing the results of practical painting work were used. The principles of perspective, color harmony and expression of the atmosphere in landscape painting were analyzed.
Result: As a result of the research, it was found that when working in the landscape genre, the correct organization of the composition, determination of color tones and consideration of light-shadow relationships increase the artistic expressiveness of the image. It was also determined that direct observation of nature is an important factor in developing the artist's skill.
Conclusion: Working in the landscape genre requires observation, color perception and compositional thinking from the artist. As a result of mastering these methods, the beauty and mood of nature can be fully reflected in a work of art. Therefore, landscape painting is one of the important areas of fine arts education.
