Abstract

This article analyzes the issues of improving the efficiency of drilling and blasting operations in open-pit mining from the perspective of the technological level of modern drilling equipment. The study compares intellectual models of leading global brands — Epiroc, Sandvik, Caterpillar, and Sunward — with the classic SBSH-250 drill rig. Based on the geological conditions of the "Yoshlik I" deposit, engineering parameters such as hourly productivity, pull-down force, and rotation torque were calculated for each model. Furthermore, an economic efficiency analysis is presented based on the initial cost, service life, and annual depreciation expenses. The research findings serve to select the technologically productive and economically efficient type among drilling equipment.
