Abstract

The rapid development of digital communication has significantly transformed the way people interact in online environments. One of the most noticeable features of modern communication is the widespread use of emojis. Emojis function not only as decorative symbols but also as pragmatic tools that convey emotions, attitudes, intentions, and interpersonal meanings. This article examines the pragmatic functions of emojis in digital communication and compares their usage in English-speaking and Uzbek-speaking contexts.
