Abstract
This research paper examines the important role of local resources in reducing transportation costs. Transport costs are an important factor in various sectors, including manufacturing, agriculture and trade, affecting economic growth, environmental sustainability and social equity. By strategically using local resources, businesses and communities can optimize transportation efficiency, reduce dependence on long-distance supply chains, and mitigate the negative environmental impact of transportation. This article examines various dimensions of the role of local resources in reducing transportation costs, including proximity advantages, supply chain optimization, alternative transportation methods, and sustainable practices.
