Abstract

The study came to look for the role of human labor in the water need for the wheat crop in Maysan Governorate, which aims to find out the impact of labor on the water need for the wheat crop, and the extent of the interest of the human hand and its factors in the amount of water needs of consumption according to the size and area of land in Maysan Governorate, as well as for what is characterized by conditions and suitability for this crop after the most important natural and human factors in those water needs have been studied, and to see the knowledge of the amount of rain falling on Study area during the agricultural season 2021-2022, which cannot be fully relied upon to meet the water need for wheat crop in Maysan Governorate.
While the study showed that there must be a large and supportive role by the government to provide the rest of the agricultural inputs, as the role of labor will provide greater opportunities for the water crop, which must produce abundance for this crop despite the water fluctuations during the winter season .
Our current study included the most prominent challenges and problems facing wheat cultivation in Maysan Governorate after proposing appropriate future solutions and solving the difficulty of water needs and winter water forecasts.
