ENDOGENOUS FACTORS, ORIGINS OF THE SUCCESS LIMITS OF STUDENTS IN PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOLS IN RURAL AREAS IN MADAGASCAR
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Malagasy education system has undergone reforms in recent years. The Education Sector Plan (PSE) developed in 2017 and adjusted to the current Government's program aims to provide quality education to Malagasy children and to reduce inequalities between those in urban and rural areas. This research carries a critical study of the current management of public high schools in the School District (Cisco) of Antananarivo Atsimondrano. It focuses on endogenous factors that would limit student success. The objective is to study the dysfunction suffered by the pupils following the failures of the educational managers of public establishments in rural areas. To do this, a description methodology was adopted to identify the real problems. Essentially qualitative data was collected from the four establishments of the target Cisco. Analyzes were then performed using the Ishikawa diagram, an engineering tool that allows the root causes of problems to be examined through their grouping by category. At the end of the process, the shortcomings relating to the professional practices of the teachers and the failures of the school administration were determined. The results of this research would help educational authorities to become aware of the complexity of education in rural areas and to promote inclusive education.
