The people of hadith did not accept the hadiths narrated from Abu Hanifa. (cf. Muminov. Dissertation. -P.231.) In the Middle Ages, the Ahl al-Hadith criticized the Hanafi scholars for referring to the Aqeedah more than the Hadith in supporting their arguments.
