In this article, the author highlights some of the stylistic features of the work of one of the brightest symphonists of the second half of the 20th century, A. Terteryan. The issues of the use of folk melody and its direct connection with the traditional Armenian genre "Sharakan" in the composer's symphonic work are touched upon.
